Rain - One Second There is a second that I long for, that isn’t meant to be. This second exist only where it is meant to flee. Just one second where I can believe whatever I want A tiny little second when you do not say: “don’t” I’ve experienced everything I’d ever dare I would But why do I long? I’d never thought I should. In fact I thought that I would be happy right here But for one second I want it all to disappear. I want to let my thoughts fly for just one second For just one second that no one would ever record This one second that only I would remember… Under the starry sky, one night in December. Yet the seconds past all the time, going into nowhere I just want my own second to be right here (tick) So I can feel what it feels to have it, just one time Is it so much to ask for? A second that I can call mine. So the clock ticks away, letting my second turn silent. But if I’ve had it, I’ll know that I’ve lived a life well spent.
