Cassidy får inte komma ut
A judge recently reinstated a first-degree murder charge against Cassidy in relation to an April shooting that led to one man dead and two others wounded.
This past August, Judge Marsha Neifield reduced Cass's first-degree murder to a third-degree murder charge.
At that time, Judge Neifield concluded that prosecutors only had enough evidence to try Cassidy on third-degree murder, attempted murder, and weapons violation charges. Neifeld set bail at $2.5 million, but ordered Cassidy to remain behind bars pending appeal. Cassidy only had to raise 10% of that amount for his release.
With the new ruling, Cass aka Barry Reese, 23, is no longer eligible for bail. Cass' attorney, Fortunato Perri Jr. is seeking a trial as early as possible.
