kind of importance their gender would have

Children learn to act the way they´re supposed to

It´s the indoctrination at an early age

Centuries of traditions is hard to change (Yeah)
A different way than what we know seems far too strange
It feels much safer to maintain the obsolete
and be guided on the "right path" like a flock of sheeps
It´s easier to blend in than to deviate
Children adapt to the environment that we create
If you can´t think for yourself the mind isn´t free
Parents dress and treat their kid differently (double standard)
The conception that girls are soft and boys are tough (stereotypes)
can´t be more obvious in a store like Toys 'R' Us (Shit!)
It reflects how society think they should be
Too young to understand, I wish they could see
how it affects personality and choice of career
And gets complicated when the power struggle appears (It´s getting worse)
Old pattern got us trapped in a vicious circle (Stuck)

Look, let me explain where it all came from
Men and women have been rivals since day one (day one)
Do you know the reason why the man is so prominent?
His occupations and physics made him dominant (That´s right)
The same goes for the woman, but the other way round
In fact, parenthood forced her to stay bound
Being the provider the the man gain the upperhand
which made the woman dependent and fucked up her plans,
hopes, and dreams to gain a better life
It´s understandable why the man won´t let her rise
he wants to keep his benefits and when he feel threatened
things like religion and prejudice is used as a weapon
to keep her subservient in this global oppression
Objectified and treated like a possession
All the violence and abuse, no wonder why you´re fed up
I know it´s hard, but, gotta keep you´re head up

Now look, I know that this is some deep shit that most of ya´ll don´t want to sink your feet in, but one thing you have to understand is that we all participate to maintain this obsolete system. Whether it´s deliberatly or not. And once you stop being ignorant and realize that, my question is: do you want to be a part of the problem, or a part of the solution? Huh? Equality.
