Årets vers
Jag röstar på Grand Pubas vers från Chosen Few på Sadat X's Black October.
"Uh...came up in this game settin' trends that exist to this day/
Did it for a lot less pay/
Educate the minds/
Give a third eye to the blind/
Droppin' more jewels than your shine/
Think it's 'bout time/
Hit these n****s one mo' time/
Let 'em know it's done by design/
Haters in the game tryin'a write me and my team out of history/
Cause we don't look for the mystery/
Tell 'em how it was, how it is, how it's gone' be/
Do our own thing, never known as a wannabe/
No puppet-on-a-string, Sambo or buffoonery/
A few party joints and we saved a community/
Don't ever in your life think we ain't real n****s/
When you help black folks compromise yo' figures/
So if you don't see us flossin' on MTV cribs/
Know we spit that shit to let black seeds live..."
Han är så sjukt tung. Hur kan man vara borta från gemet i åratal och sen bara komma in 2006 och lägga EN gästvers på EN låt och bara dominera hela scenen. Tror bara Lord Finesse skulle kunna göra nåt liknande.
Det är så sant det där med trends that exist to this day/for a lot less pay. Gåshud.
