Message from QD3 regarding BEEF and it's approachQ

I wanted to explain our approach as it may seem unclear at this point jusging from the posts. First off, i am originally from Farsta Stockholm so I'm a Swede at heart:) Burbs Baby!

Anyway, Tupac was engaged to my sister at the time of his passing, I also was blessed to work a lot with him having produced the song "To Live & Die In LA" among other songs, and when he passed it had a deep impact on my life. That impact lead to me wanting to explore why these things happen.

However, as with any problem solving venture such as drug addiction, gambling addiction, anger mangement, etc, in all the 12 step programs you have to start by looking at the problem first, you don't skip ahead straight to the solution, it won't work, if that was the case they would have solved it a long time ago.

So BEEF was a mirror for the industry to see how they look, many of the artists such as Trulife saw the film and decided to change their life. By stating the problem, viewers also get a chance to see the entire beef and how it started and can learn from it as well as they will see things coming because they've seen what happened to the artists in the film. Since BEEF is a series, we will get to the deeper issues over time but for now we are still digging through the problem since there is a lot to cover.

Similar to the KRS one approach we first have to relate to the street element in order to appeal to the people that need the help most, once we have their confidence, they may be more open to a message or attempt at resolution.

KRS made Criminal Minded (LP) and had guns on the cover for one purpose, to grab the knuckleheads he wanted to teach later. We share that same intent. I'd say by BEEF 3 you will see some of the deepest issues ever explored in Hip Hop, but we had to start with the baby food if you know what I mean.

many of the subject in the film don't come from cozy homes with family structure, we all have to be understanding of that, their conditions made them who they are and we can not judge. Of course some of it may be bravado, but their alternative as you saw in the film coudl be much worse than talking about another rapper. So everything happens in steps, same with sschool, we all know we want to get educated but it doesn't happen all in one class, it would be impossible to grasp, this problem is bigger than one film, believe me, it goes back to the slavery days of self hate.

I say all this to let you all know that we know the problem, we want to be a part of the solution, but we also have experience in the rap game that indicates that you can not bang the solution over their head prematurely or you may loose the audience before you have a chance to teach them anything.

Loosing Pac was one of the biggest losses in my life as we had lots of positive plans that never came to fruition so belive me I understand the forces that cause these situations, but again, this is a process, lots of good stuff is coming in 3 that will work toward the solution, and explain in detail why, how, resolution, etc.

Lastly, what's in the film is NOTHING compared to what really happens, we have stuff on film that would have been much worse. We tried to balance it with the early beefs in order to show how it should be done. That's my two cents.
