DJ Mitsu The Beats & Jazzy Sport Productions bring us this wonderful LP that divides itself between fat hip hop and nu jazz, with a bit of crossover inbetween. On the hip hop side there's vocals from Phonte & big Pooh (Little Brother), K-Otix, Promoe (Looptroop), Agape (Isosceles), Audessey The Sound Sci (Mass Influence) and Dwele on more of a hip hop-soul tip. Side C and D drop the nu-jazz sounds, with Lady Alma (Rednose District) adding vocals to the jazz-dance cut "Away", Stone Love singing sweetly on the squelchy broken "Music Mate", Mark De Clive-Lowe adding keys on "Rendesvous" (there's other tasty instrumentals too!) and Rich Medina doing his GSH thing on "Do Right". All the tracks from that limited Japanese import twelve we had back in 2003 are on here too. Essential!
