AUDIO : Trinity(SWE) vs Lion Head(FIN) 220707 in Helsinki

Audio from the clash in Finland last night.

Trinity from Sweden VS Lion Head from Finland.

Sound quality is not perfect, there's a problem in the 2nd part but otherwise it's allright.

Trinity took the cup. No "official voting" was made between the rounds (no points etc) but it seemed Lion Head took the first round (although it was kind of even), Lion Head definitely took the 45 round with more uptempo selection, Trinity took the 3rd round by far with a lot more energy and some huge tunes. Some customs were played from both sides, from Finland and Sweden artists (Puppa J and Million Stylez) and one or two from JA (Mitch at least ..).

Dub fi dub went straight to Trinity after Lion Head started playing Shaggy & Sean Paul. Lion Head's wicked custom Welton Irie got a big forward though.

Lion Head played a lot of big (although regular) tunes with a very fast pace but the MC work could not match Trinity's. Lion Head played definitely more juggling sound style where Trinity had a sound killing attitude from the start.

Part 1, 15 minutes dubplates from each

Part 2, 15 minutes 45s from each (digital problems in Lion Head's part)

Part 3, 15 minutes dubplates again from each (first 30 seconds digital noise)

Part 4, dub fi dub (7 tunes each) and some afterwards juggling

Overall it was a very nice session. Around 400 people in attendance, soundboys and girls that just came to bruk out alike.

Thanks once again! It was a nice clash. I'd like to see more of this in Hki.

I think Lion head played bigger tunes in the first round, but they didn't really build up the vibes enough. In the beginning they played so many dubs so fast that I didn't even remember them after the round.
On the whole I would have appreciated more chatting between the tunes, like Boastins "We is big people! We can buy alcohol in the systembolaget in sweden!" =)

Big up Trinity till segern..!!

Men varför spela Lion Head Sean Paul och Shaggy i dub fi dub?
Dock spelade Lion Head den fetaste duben i DFD "Rumours" med Mr Gregory Cool Ruler Isaacs...

Big up Bommi, Lion Head and di Suomi Crew!!

Rastott,

Biggest forwards in the dub fi dub went to Lion Head's custom Welton Irie and Trinity's Leroy Sibbles and Dawn Penn - the Gregorys didnt really get that big forwards. Trinity's counter-speeches in the dub fi dub got a lot of people laughing (about not taking a ship but a plane and the systembolaget ..)

Otherwise biggest forwards for the night went probably for Trinity's Stage Time juggling (especially Million Stylez custom) and the Mavados in the third round and their Sean Paul in the first round. Lion Head's opening Sizzla for the third round also got a very good response..

45 round did not get big forwards for either sound this time - last month when Black Bear and MPV from Finland clashed Black Bear got the crowd banging on the walls with their fast-pace 45 selection..

Trinitys Luciano dub on taxi riddim in the first round was totally maaad..."they come from sweet mama africa"

Bommi,

The ting about Gregory in DFD is just my personal toughts...

Maybe it would be better with just 5min of 45" Just a littel fast 45" round. Then u can fling some big tunes and the ppl will  not have time 2 get "uttråkade"...?

Respekt!...
