Leeds based producer Ryan G known as J.sparrow has been producing dubstep since 2006.

As resident at the norths premier dubstep night ''Exodus''owned by the legendary Simon Scott.
Ryan has travelled all over the world with the night and gathered influences for his music.


Ryan's ecletic influences include Dub, Techno, Garage, Hip Hop, Drum And Bass, from artists like LTJ Bukem, Portishead, Richie Hawtin, 4 hero, Nightmares On Wax to name a few.

Under the alias J.Sparrow, Ryan didnt want to stick to one style of dubstep, but to make a variety of sounds that would hopefully appeal to all listeners from every background.

Ryan saw his first release in 2006 on leeds based label ''Senseless Records'' since then he has released on Mrk1's label ''Contagious'' and the next release
is due on Dj Pinch's ''Earwax'' with a following album in 2009 and other remix project's that are forthcoming on Bristol based ''Pollen ''.

Coming out of the South East of England is Kents very own J:Kenzo

J has been dj'ing since 1995, and originally started playing Jungle and House & Garage, from were he draws alot of his influences from production wise.
J started producing in August 2006, and has recently started two record labels representing the two different ends of the dubstep scene... 'Soul Shakerz' and 'Dub Constructionz'.

'Soul Shakerz' is just about to drop its 4th release within the next month and has a list of artists lined up for 2009.

Production wise J has seen has his 1st release this year digitally through 'SonicBoomUK' and his 1st vinyl release on his own label 'Soul Shakerz'
2009 promises to be a year of progression for J with releases lined up for Deapoh's 'Bare Dubs' imprint, '2nd Drop Records', as well as more material on 'Soul Shakerz' and 'Dub Constructionz' plus the work on remixes for various established artists in the dubstep scene.

This mix is a look back at some of J's productions as well as some fresh dubs for good measure and has been put together as 30 mins of relentless dubstep dancefloor killers!

With its five members, Afterdark have been taking the scene by storm over the last four years. Founding members Phazeman, Shy/Itchy Robot, Dicey and Skeeze were responsible for the groups first release, Slaughter Chamber, on Urban Graffiti Records which was signed back in 2005. After hearing this track and wanting in on the action Toxin became the final member of this forward thinking, big bass making collective of producers and DJ’s. Although members of the group have enjoyed success as solo producers and come from a broad background of musical genres including Drum and Bass, Garage and Indie it is as Afterdark that the group are enjoying new found success and attracting a new legion of fans.

Each of Afterdark's three producers has their own style for which they are known, from Toxin’s dark, twisted bass lines to Phazeman’s sinister, epic leads and Shy/Itchy Robot’s big impact dance floor fillers. Merging together influences such as Garage, Reggae and Dub, Drum and Bass, Electro as well as Heavy Metal it is inevitable that Afterdark’s collection of fresh sounds is bring something new and vibrant to the Dubstep scene.

Mike is best known for his House productions but often finds himself in Dubstep territory! with tracks out with remixes from Rusko to Reso to Hektagon and remixing the likes of Bar 9 his Dubstep releases are slowly piling up. After a year being resident at Egg Club for EBM and 2 years with a prime slot on House Fm he is now concentrating his efforts in the studio rather than behind the ones and twos.
2009 looks set to be a good year for Mike as his release schedule is filling up nicely!
